Having a great resume is essential for success.
A resume won't get you a job but it might get you an interview and that's your goal. Your resume is your story in written form and it's sole purpose is to attract the attention of the recruiter who sees it or the ATS system that has been designed to automate the initial selection process. This initial stage in the recruitment process if usually a "deselection" process. In the recruiters mind or a set of instructions in the ATS, will be a set of key criteria. If your resume doesn't match the criteria then the chances are that your resume will be "rejected". The challenge you have is to send a resume that has been tailored for the position you are applying for. Ensure that you highlight that you are a good "fit" for the position by editing your summary section and skills in particular.
